18 December LiP: Wegleiters facilitate learning
Wégleiters facilitate learning
This is a project about how to stimulate learning and the visualisation of knowledge. In sum it is concerning the ability to build Communities of Practice face-to-face and virtually. In order to do so we need to have specially trained persons competent of supporting other persons learning and competence development. We called this role for Skilled Resource Managers in the beginning of the project, but have more and more come to the conclusion that a better expression would be Vägledare, Wégleiter, Learning companion.
“Wegleiter” are persons who are able to support colleagues when implicit learning processes are running. The wegleiter’s support may make this “silent”knowledge conscious and visible for others; the knowledge gets formulated and can be shared with others. Wegleiters are familiar with learning processes in theory and in practice. They don’t feel like an expert because they know about lifelong learning. They know about steps to make experiences and know-how explicit and effective. They support and accompany the exchange of experiences and they try to point out experiences and know-how in the web platform www.informal-learning.org .
All wegleiters of the first hour (from left to right, standing): Eva Knobloch(Austria), Zsofia Pakozdi
(Hungary), Mojca Premelc(Slovenia), Maria Jandl (Austria), Martina Soltisova-Semesiova(Slovakia), Peter Rohac (Slovakia), Ann-Louise Ljunblad(Sweden), Tone Engen(Sweden), Per Skoglund(Sweden), Lars-åke Larsson(Sweden)
(from left to right in front): Andrea Fasching(Austria/Belgium),Justine Kocjancic(Slovenai),Christa Schubert(Austria), Gun B. Nilsson (Sweden)
“Wegleiters” are familiar with questions like: What is informal learning? How to identify it? Why do we learn? How do effective learning processes at workplace look like? How to influence learning processes? How to make learning results visible at workplace? Which ways of supports are there in everyday business (structures, methods, tools)?
Do you feel supported in case of Learning in Practice in your organisation? With whom are you in touch? With whom would you like to get in touch? What do you need to do it?
